Tandem Nursing!
Noni loves her babies and since she was about 18 months she has been nursing her babies. And just the other day she started tandem nursing!! She told me that baby Belinda and baby Lizzy were hungry! I had to take a picture.

Boys and Girls; Girls and Boys
Little boys and little girls are so different. It is so funny how they just naturally are different. They are drawn to different things and act different. Today at Barnes N Noble Noni was playing at the train table and she was by herself for a while. Carefully lining up 4 trains in a row trying to pull them all the way around the track without having them fall off. Then a little boy came up a little older then her and started grabbing a few trains, making noises, crashing them and even leaning so hard on the table it moved. Its fine, there is nothing wrong with what he did it is just so funny how different boys and girls are.
Then he asked his mom to read him a book and Noni wanted me to read her a book too. As I read Noni a "Princess Tea Party" book I could over hear the other mom reading her son a book about Pirates. I smiled. Its just funny how different boys and girls are. I am just not used to boy stuff. Noni would never pick up a pirate book for me to read.
I am a little surprised how girly my girl is becoming. When I first had Noni I didn't want to buy a single piece of pink clothing or purple truthfully. I wanted more neutral colors and just nothing real girly. Well I have come a long way because my Noni girl wears pink pretty much every day. Purple is her favorite color right now and she loves dresses and skirts. I LOVE IT! The girlier (?is that a work?) it is the better. It is so fun to pick out her outfits (if she will let me, since about 18 months old she has had something to say about what she wears). She loves jewelery, shoes, and nail polish. I love it! When I was younger I imagined having my own little girl and doing her hair and nails and now I have 2 girls. I am so happy that God blessed me with girls. He has given me the desire of my heart. I can't wait to see what Evey is going to be like as she gets older.
All that being said about loving the girlyness of my girls I really do hope to have a boy. I want to experience raising a boy and that mother son relationship. But we will see! Maybe I'm only meant to have girls.
{I am not preggo just thinking ahead} *feeling so blessed* :)

La Leche League Leader
I have been attending my local LLL group since I was pregnant with Nonah. (my first) I can count on one hand how many meetings I have missed. It is such a great group and even though I don't have many questions any more I still like going and being surrounded by like minded mamas. And sometimes I give my input and can share from my own experience. Well after the last meeting one of the leaders called me and asked me if I would be interested in becoming a leader. Umm...no...not really. I told her I would have to think about it, pray about it, and talk to my hubby about it.
A couple weeks later now I have thought about it a lot. And...I AM going to be a La Leche League Leader. It is going to be a long process of reading, learning and applying and then getting certified but Im on my way. It's a little scarey having to answer mamas questions but I think I can do it.
I am really excited to be a LLL leader!

Burgandy Dreads
It was a time for a change. I wanted to do a red or purple bur NOT my whole head, just a few random dreads. So my hubby helped me pick out a burgandy color and a blonde and he died my dreads. He did a great job. (i just wish he got the roots a little better, its pretty hard to dye dreads) Sometimes they look purple and some times they look red. Its fun! I'll probably do blonde again then for the summer!!

Random-Mama-Thoughts
~Sometimes I feel like the worst mama in the world and that I am totally screwing up my kids and that I don't do enough for them. Then there are times when I feel like I have it all together and wouldn't change a thing.
*I hate when people who don't have kids give parenting advice or when they say "Im never going to do that" or "my kids are going to do that" etc. I just want to say the h#@% up you have NO IDEA what you are or aren't going to do until you are in the situation and you sure as heck don't know how your kids are going to be.
-There are so many things that I said I wasn't going to do and now I am and visa versa. One of them being nursing my two and a half year old.
~Discipline is by far the most challenging part of parenting. I pray everyday for the wisdom to know how to handle each situation.
*Two years old is an amazing but really tough age.
-My goal everyday is to get my girls to nap at the same time. Today was a success.
~Tandem nursing is going really well. Noni is down to once maybe twice a day. I can handle that. I am thinking at her 3rd Birthday (which is august) I am going to wean her. I will talk about ahead of time and we can celebrate her being a big girl. We will see.
*Two kiddos has been a challenge. I feel like it is only going to get harder but it is those special moments that gets me through. Seeing Noni make Evey smile and read her a book and hold her. It is awesome.
-That being said, I am dreading when Evey gets big enough to crawl and play because Noni already doesn't want to share her toys with her. It will be interesting to say the least.
~I want to homeschool but I am scared. I don't know if I have the patience. Especially with Noni's personality. Again we will see.

Life with my Two Girls
I feel like I haven’t actually wrote a post in so long. I post pictures but never post much. I don’t have a ton of time on the computer to sit and think and concentrate on anything more than checking email and face book and maybe reading a blog here and there. I have to do what I am doing with this post, which is stay up late and write a little bit here and there until its complete, then post it.
Anyway. I wanted to write about life with my two girls and fill you in on how things have been going for me. Next week will be 4 months and I guess you could say we are kind of in a rhythm. I am not much for schedules and being real strict with times for feeding or sleeping but we have a general routine or rhythm. Every day is different so we kind of just go with the flow of the day and see what happens. Noni is on a pretty set nap schedule though so we usually try and go out in the morning and either run errands, play dates, shopping, visiting friends or whatever else we do and then I really try to be home no later then 2:00 (maybe 2:30). When Noni was a baby she was such a cat-napper so I would rely on driving in the car in order for her to sleep. Since she was about a year old or so she has been taking a good afternoon nap that started out at about an hour long and now is 2 hours every day. I look forward to that break in the day now and my goal every day is to get Evey to nap at that same time. Needless to say that doesn’t always happen.
That was a little bunny trail about naps. Back to life with the girls. Its fun, crazy, chaotic, stressful, tiring, and amazing all at the same time. I still am blown away when I stop and think about the fact that I have 2 girls. Its so wonderful. When I was younger I always dreamed of getting married and having a little girl and now I have two!!! I am so blessed!! In the midst of the craziness I have to stop and remind myself that. “I AM SO BLESSED!” I look forward to all the amazing things me and my girls will do together. Right now with my super energetic 2 year old who is what I would call a “High Needs” child (not high maintenance, that’s totally different) ;) I am pretty worn out at the end of the day. (physically and emotionally) Evey is easy and mellow right now but Noni girl needs a lot of attention throughout the day. Typical two year old I guess. She doesn’t play much by herself yet so she helps me with stuff which then takes twice as long as it should. She has really been doing well with Evey though. She is genuinely interested in her and asks me where Evey is if she can’t find her and wants to touch her and talk to her ALL the time. She struggles to be gentle (of course, shes only 2) but that is my biggest frustration throughout the day. “Noni be gentle, Noni stop touching her face, Noni leave her be please,” like a million times a day. Uhg. And I’m fine if she touches her if Eveys fine with it but she eventually gets sick of Noni pulling on her and poking her. Here of late Noni has been getting rougher and rougher with her so I really have to keep an eye on her. I do love to see them together though. I can’t wait for them to be able to play together.
Thankfully I have a wonderful husband who helps me out a lot. Just tonight he swept the house for me and made dinner for tomorrow night so that I just have to heat it up. I have to ask for it but he gives me time to myself which is desperately needed for my sanity and he helps a lot with Noni girl when he is home. She is really becoming a daddys girl. So life is good. I am going through what every mom goes through, I’m tired, I’m stressed, I am wondering what happened to my old body and the old me but along with all that I am trying to enjoy and savor every moment of motherhood I possibly can because it is the most amazing gift in the world! I wouldn’t trade it for anything!!
P.S. If I would have wrote this post last week it would have been a whole lot more negative. It truly is a challenge of mine to be positive and look at the blessings instead of the trials.
